summer sunshine, glistening decisions

hi everyone....

well yes, i know it has been a very long time since i have written a blog! that is because to be quite honest, i have been making a lot of decisions concerning my music and where i see myself going in the future.

i have recently decided that at this point in life, i am not going to do music in pubs and clubs, etc fulltime. this summer i am focusing quite a bit on learning jazzier style songs, and putting together a jazz band for when i move to toronto in the fall. i want to focus on singing at more upper class christmas parties, events, and of course weddings!

this recent decision has made me very happy! the thought at this point in life of going on the road doing show after show just wasn't sitting right with me, and i wasn't peaceful about it. maybe one day it will. i don't know! we will see where God takes me....i know that He has a plan for my life, and I am really seeking His direction.

i am playing a few gigs still this summer (the Canada Day Festival in Brantford is an AWESOME opportunity - it's Sunday, July 1st at 4pm SHARP in Cockshut Park - everyone is welcome!), a few weddings as well, and i am very excited about all of them! music is still the passion of my heart and i will continue using the gift that i have been so blessed with.

thank you all so much for your support! i will keep you all up to date (although sometimes i'm not that good at doing that) on what my endeavours are.

my cd's (both my worship one and my new one, "the key of me" are still available here under the "music" link, and if you buy one or both now, you will receive them SIGNED. that could be worth millions of $ someday haha but even if it's not....i know that you will hold it dear to your heart just knowing i took the time to personalize it for you=) RIGHT? haha

hey everyone....it's almost the end of july now. i've recorded bass, drums, electric and acoustic guitar, and piano for my new cd. it's coming along really well, and i'm happy with what i have so far. i'm pretty sure i'm going to be finishing the cd in niagara falls with a producer, which i'm very pumped about. send me an email if you want to know more!

well it's been awhile, eh? sorry about that!! i'm back on track, though, and very excited about the new cd i'm making this summer 2006. it is going to be a cd full of my love and life songs, all original, and most of the songs are going to be recorded with a full band. it will be very different from "sanctuary", and i'm very excited about this project. i am working with amazing musicians, at an incredible studio (ask me if you need somewhere to record and i'll tell you the place to be!), and it's going to be a blast. i'm beginning recording this week. I'll keep you posted. thanks for your support!
